The Bentonville Library Foundation was formed in 2003 when the Bentonville community began efforts to fund and build a new library facility. A public/private partnership, the Foundation succeeded in the task of raising $7,000,000 for the $9,000,000 project. Generosity from individuals, corporations and foundations joined the City's $2,000,000 contribution and our lovely library at 405 S Main Street opened October 30, 2006.
The Foundation's gift to our community is immeasurable, as the new Library is visited hundreds of thousands of times annually. The Foundation is further committed to continuing to support the Library's growth and development in future years.
The Mission of the Bentonville Library Foundation is to support its community’s knowledge by learning and enhancing library facilities, programs and services.
