“Parade of Books . . . From the Old to the New”
Sunday October 22 - 12:30 pm
A procession of books, book carts, and enthusiastic library supporters will walk from the back of the Massey Building (former residence of the library), through the parking lot on SW 2nd Street, and continue south on South Main Street leading to the new location of the library, 405 South Main Street. Rain or shine!
Join us for the fun and celebration of the opening of the new library! Bring your friends and family to this extraordinary event! The musical duo, Toucan Jam, will be at the new library to provide music and entertainment. Ribbon-cutting will take place, and a key to the library will be presented to Mayor Terry Coberly.
Take a tour and stop for a beverage at the new coffee shop located in the library, “Grounds for Thought”. Be sure to visit the used book store, “Read It Again Books”, where you can purchase a used book and join the Friends of the Library. This nonprofit organization supports the library with new collections, children’s programs, and volunteers who help work at the library and store.
Call 254 -0254 or 271-3192 for information regarding the parade procession of books. Don’t miss this once in a lifetime opportunity to witness the city of Bentonville open a “state of the art” library!
